For those who observe it, Lent is a time to reflect, spend more time being grateful, and to sacrifice. But will giving up chocolate for 40 days make you more spiritual or impact your health? Why not commit to doing something good for your health and reflect on the beauty of the body you’ve been given. After 40 days you may find you have a new healthy habit to celebrate!
Here are some suggestions:
Stop Smoking: Quitting or reducing the number of cigarettes you smoke each day will have a big impact on your health.
Ban the Artificial Sweetener: Diet soda and other drinks and foods destroy your body’s ability to process sweet foods. Help you metabolism become normal again!
Unplug: Pry the Blackberry or I-phone out of your hand, disconnect the Bluetooth from your ear, limit your e-mail and online time to reduce Electronic Induced Stress.
Embrace the Fish! Enjoying fish once a week is a healthy habit. Rather than grump about it, explore some tasty new recipes.
Wishing you reflection and peace during this season.
