A simple tool in the fight against childhood obesity:
Fun and interactive pedometers designed for kids!
In the world of Webkinz and sedentary lifestyles, how do we get our kids moving? One solution is a cool new product called GeoPalz.
It is a pedometer tucked into a fun clip-on character with prizes available online. I asked the experts (my daughters) to test them out.
“It looks cool. Everybody wanted to know where I got it!” “It wasn’t embarrassing at all to wear it.”
How it works:
Kids log their steps onto a secure website and earn prizes for the steps they take.
“It makes me want to walk more.” “We check with each other and the other kids to see who has more steps.”
Parents get a weekly email with step totals and are able to monitor their child’s progress.
All in all – a great (and inexpensive) tool to get kids moving!
