Your morning cup of coffee may do more than perk you up!
Worried coffee might damage your health? It turns out a cup or two per day can have some health benefits including reducing your risk of stroke and cavities!
EveryDayHealth.com published an article outlining 9 ways coffee can improve your health including reducing your risk of diabetes, stroke, cavities, Parkinsons Disease, breast cancer, heart disease, and head and neck cancers – as well as lowering your stress level by limiting the effects of too little sleep.
Is this all an excuse to overindulge?
No.
- A couple of cups of coffee per day can benefit your health, more than that can negatively impact your ability to sleep.
- Adding a splash of non or low fat milk is fine. Loading your cup with sweeteners and fats can negatively impact your heart health.
- Coffee can be a trigger for abnormal heart rhythms and aggravate some digestive issues. Pay attention to your body and talk to your doctor about how much coffee is healthy for you.
