Last week I was incredibly honored to host the HEART for Women Act Rally in Washington DC on behalf of the American Heart Association. I was joined by nearly 1000 volunteer advocates from across the country for the AHA’s Congressional Lobby Day. We visited our elected leaders inorder to push forward the HEART for Women Act as well as ask for increased NIH and CDC funding and FDA regulation of tobacco.
During the rally we asked the members of Congress to pass the HEART for Women Act which will change the way heart disease in women is treated, researched and prevented. It was an an event I will long remember and a cause I will continue to forward tirelessly. Please ask your members of Congress to support the HEART for Women Act — visit the You’re the Cure network — you’ll find easy ways of making a difference.
Working together we can make a difference!
